About Alastair Deighton, Phil Jones, Ashley Lilley and Simon Foster

Alastair became a rural surveyor in 2005 and has managed Estates across the country. Since 2015 he has been the resident agent of the Firle Estate in Sussex.

Philip works within the Leisure team and specialises in planning and development on holiday and residential caravan parks throughout the UK. Philip has over 15 years’ experience in the leisure sector and his clients range from national multi-park operators to smaller independent sites.

Ashley works in the Food and Farming team. His clients include farmers, landowners and agribusinesses along the whole length of the food chain. He provides strategic and business re-organisation advice, working closely with banks and other professional advisors.
Simon heads up the Tourism, Leisure and Events Consultancy team. He advises landowners large and small on establishing and developing leisure enterprises including day visitor attractions, wedding venues, holiday accommodation and Glamping, outdoor events and location filming.

An expert panel from Savills will be looking at the considerations in establishing new tourism, leisure and events enterprises on farms and rural estates. This panel discussion will be chaired by Alastair Deighton, who is the resident agent at Firle Estate in Sussex, which is open to visitors, hosts wedding receptions and is the location for Channel 4’s Bake Off- the Professionals
